Something completely different for me. I'm a huge fan of nature, so I tend to stick to the more natural fairy/dryad/leafy/animals type artwork. I decided to challenge myself with new content. So here she is, my robot android girl being fitted for parts. In an attempt to make "skin" as interesting as possible (and not just for the sake of nudity) I have worked with a lot of colors as a painting exercise.
Adobe Photoshop 6, wacom pen tablet, texture layering with my own handmade paper scans (and aluminum foil for the head/arm wires.) Somewhere in the 15 hour range.
If you are a digital artist and looking for high resolution textures for your artwork, check out my stock account at: [link]
The round metal circular object for her "skull" area and a gear is from pixelchemist-stock here: [link]
also a great place for textures is the CG Textures website, ( [link]
) which has just about every misc. item/texture you could think of if you can't find a resource here on devart. Including everything from wires, cement backgrounds, plants, feathers and a whole lot more. Go browse!
And as always, feel free to use my art images in non-profit ways (such as personal use/website galleries) but please be sure to always keep "Kimberly Crick" or "www.EnchantedGal.com" on it so people can still find me. Thank you
Edit - 01/17/08 : Just a quick thank you for the Daily-Deviation and everyone's nice comments. I don't have time to reply to everyone individually, but I appreciate it and am so glad you like her
